At the dawn of the last century, a band of explorers searched for a prehistoric world. Driven by ambition, secret desires, a thirst for adventure, and seeking the ultimate story, they are befriended by an untamed beauty. Stranded in a strange and savage land, each day is a desperate search for a way out of the Lost World.

Roxton grew up the youngest son of a lord, never expecting to inherit his father's title, nor wanting to. Sadly, on a safari, John's older brother William was attacked by a great ape. Roxton shot the ape killing it, but the bullet went through the ape's body and killed his brother as well. His father never recovered from William's death and died soon after. John inherited what should have been his brother's title of Lord of the estate at Avebury along with a tormenting guilt. Since then, Roxton's creed has been simple: Adventure is the only thing that makes life worth living.

Since then Roxton's life has been varied and exciting. He's spent time with Buddhist monk's in Tibet and learning their ways to help him deal with the guilt of his brother's death, and while he's no longer depressed as he once was, the guilt still drives him on into one dangerous adventure after another. During the Great War, he held the rank of Major and selflessly volunteered to sacrifice his career and good name in order to protect the important triple agent, codename:'Percival', who ran the entire spy ring in England.

He was also the first to volunteer for Challenger's Expedition to the plateau, mostly looking forward to hunting a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Of the entire expedition, only he and four others survived. Since they've been stranded on the plateau, the others have looked to his hunting and tracking expertise to help them get through the many life threatening situations that they regularly find themselves in.

Roxton is 6’2 with brown hair and green eyes, and born in 1882. He will often be found wearing boots, pale khaki trousers, a pinstriped blue shirt, suspenders, and his hat. The weapons he usually carries are a hunting knife, twin Webley MK VI nickel-plated revolvers, and, when specifically hunting/exploring/getting into trouble a Rigby .477 rifle. He will almost always have at least the knife on him.

On Canon Punching: Roxton is a world famous explorer. Ned Malone is writing a book/serial about their exploits. He will not be surprised if your pup has heard of him, and will chalk it up to Malone's writing. In fact, he will expect your pup to have heard of him and the Expedition. In other words, feel free to do so!
